Be funny, smart and snappy to cut through the clutter and grab shoppers attention. As the song says "Express yourself!" We really like a few of these examples…
TELL PEOPLE WHAT YOU'RE SELLING
If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Focus on your spesh stuff. Identify the 3 - 5 best items you’re selling, mention them when you advertise your sale and post an item a week on your socials to lure in the hungry shoppers.
ADD PICS OF YOU AND YOUR STUFF
People remember pictures six times better than words, so make your advertising memorable and add some snaps. Put pics of your stuff up, put pics of yourself up, and on the day put pics of your sale up. Think of it like a dating app but for garage sales.
ADD SOME EXTRA YOU
You’re one in a million trillion, so reflect yourself in your sale promotions. CWA-level scone baking skills? Add some home baked beauties to your garage sale. Green thumbed? Offer gardening tips with every purchase. Love Dolly Parton? Get your best country outfit on and get ‘em down to your Dollywood sale.
SING IT FROM THE SOCIALS

TELL YOUR ‘HOOD

Garage Sale Trail is happening online and in neighbourhoods across Australia this Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 November.
