Host a sale or market through your community radio station and join 300,000 Australians choosing to reuse as part of the nation’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt this 8-9 and 15-16 November.
Listeners, bargain hunters and loyal locals can log on to find secondhand sales near them - including yours.
Let your audience tune in, turn up and give back through our national reuse movement that brings sellers and shoppers together to raise funds, connect communities and keep good stuff out of landfill.

Why get involved?
- Raise funds: community groups made an average of $1,500 on the Trail last year.
- Engage in person with listeners and volunteers.
- Create fresh, engaging on-air content and stories.
- Clean out storage spaces and turn clutter into cash.
- Show your support for reuse and sustainability.
Station success story: 3CR
Broadcasting across Melbourne and into country Victoria, 3CR made the most of Garage Sale Trail with a multi-stream fundraiser held right in their car park.
Program hosts and volunteers ran the event, promoting their sale on-air and online and including item categories and event info in their adverts. Revenue came from merch sales, station tours and the sale of secondhand treasures, many of which had been donated by the station's listeners.
Event organiser John reported that they met their fundraising target and loved engaging with listeners in person. They’re planning to host again this year - this time with a gardening twist to align with their horticultural program.
