Australia's biggest secondhand treasure hunt returns on 7–8 & 14–15 November, with thousands of garage sales and community markets helping keep valuable items in use while bringing neighbours together.
Meet the Sheds
In 2025, dozens of Sheds registered to take part in Garage Sale Trail, with community groups raising an average of $1,325 to fund their ongoing operations. Sheds organised garage sales, sausage sizzles and Christmas clearances selling secondhand and handcrafted items.
“People will often bring in items in reasonable condition; we’d give them some TLC and sell them off for around $5. We try to make things cheaply available for people in the community as it’s important for the Shed to be able to give back to the community.”

How it works
Once you register your Shed sale, you’ll be provided with everything you need to host a successful garage sale at your Shed. Join the waitlist to be alerted as soon as registrations open.
It’s free to participate thanks to the support of local councils, with the following resources and support provided:
- A how-to host a garage sale guide
- Free downloadable promotional materials including posters, invites, social media tiles and a media release template
- Support from the Garage Sale Trail team
