Garage Sale Trail is happening next on 8-9 & 15-16 November 2025 and is a great way for your House or Centre to fundraise and engage with the local community.

Ways to be involved
It’s up to you how you choose to be involved:
- Promote Garage Sale Trail at your House or Centre as a way the local community can make or save money this November.
- Host a garage sale selling unwanted items from your Centre or invite the community to donate items you can sell. Check out how West Footscray Neighbourhood House did this.
- Run a market at your Centre inviting the local community to host a stall. Download the how-to host a group sale guide.
- Invite a local community group like Rotary to use your space to run a market.
How it works
You can add your event to the Garage Sale Trail website by registering here. Once you register your sale, you’ll be provided with everything you need to host a successful garage sale at your House or Centre.
It’s free to participate thanks to the support of local councils, with the following resources and support provided:

- Free downloadable promotional materials including posters, invites, social media tiles and a media release template
- Invite to attend an online masterclass with tips and support from other community groups who have hosted a successful sale. Register here.
