Clubs & community groups

Garage Sale Trail is a free and fun way to raise money for your group, club or charity as well as clear out unused or unwanted items, recruit new members and raise awareness of the good work you do locally.

Last year almost $1 million was raised for community groups, schools and charities nationally, with the average community group making over $1,056 in one day.

Garage Sale Trail happens next on 9-10 & 16-17 November 2024. Join the wait list for exclusive early bird access.

Benefits

  • Fundraise.
  • Recruit new members.
  • Engage with the community.
  • Generate media and local awareness..

Ways to be involved

It’s up to you how you choose to be involved:

  • Promote Garage Sale Trail at your club or to group members as a way they can make or save money.
  • Host a garage sale selling unwanted items or invite the community to donate items you can sell.
  • Run a thrift market inviting the local community to host a stall. Download the how-to host a group sale guide for tips on how.

How it works

Once you register your sale, you’ll be provided with everything you need to host a successful garage sale.

It’s free to participate thanks to the support of local councils, with the following resources and support provided:

  • A how-to host a garage sale guide
  • Free downloadable promotional materials including posters, invites, social media tiles and a media release template
  • Invite to attend an online masterclass.

It was a great day of fundraising. We were able to hand over $900 to Turning Canungra Annual fundraiser for cancer.
